Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is an appealing story to the Cambodia casinos that sit just over the border from nearby Thailand, where gambling den betting is prohibited. Eight gambling dens are anchored in a relatively tiny location in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This collection of Cambodia gambling dens is in an excellent destination, a 3 to four hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest gaming centers in Asia. Cambodia casinos do a huge business with Thai workers and travelers from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a few Westerners. The amazing capital acquired from the casinos ranges from seven and a half million dollars to over 12.5 million, and there are a number of limitations requirements for gambling hall ownership. Ownership is presumed to be mainly Thai; still, investment sources are vague. The borders are officially open from 09:00 to 1700, and even though visas are allegedly required to cross, there are ways around this, as is real of many borders.

The initial Cambodia gambling dens opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving only 1 gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a moored barge casino, features 150 one armed bandits and 60 tables. The Naga river boat is open 24 hours with forty two tables of mini-baccarat, four tables of 21, ten of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The initial gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown before long followed. A total of 150 slot machine games and five tables at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slot machines and sixty eight gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort highlights three hundred slot machine games and seventy tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six one armed bandits and ninety six gaming tables, including eighty seven baccarat banque (the most dominant game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slots and 66 of the familiar table games, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the eight casinos in Poipet, again in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slot machines and 97 games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of an all-inclusive resort and hotel complex that highlights many amenities in addition to the gambling den, which contains ten thousand sq.ft. of 130 slot machines and 88 table games.
